After being forced into a delivery vehicle at knifepoint on Christmas Day, a Texas teen was saved, according to authorities.
Around 4:30 p. m. on Thursday, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office police officials responded to a home in the area, according to a report posted on social media. The 15-year-old woman had taken her puppy for a walk but did not return, according to officials. The location of her phone was tracked by her father, who then used parental controls to locate it in a" isolated and partly wooded place" about two miles away. The father, who has not been identified, went to the site and discovered his daughter and her dog inside a pickup truck along with a "partially nude" person, according to the sheriff's office. The student was freed after the father aided her and returned her to her house, where they called the coroner's office. Researchers discovered that the suspect had used a knife to endanger the girl. Hear accounts helped police identify the suspect's car and the driver, Giovanni Rosales Espinoza, 23, according to the warrant descriptions. According to the sheriff's business, Espinoza was taken into custody without incident. He is accused of indecency with a small and aggravated kidnapping. According to the coroner's business, he is being held without bond in the Montgomery County Jail. The inspection is advancing. The child is recovering with her family, according to CBS affiliate KHOU. The family informed KHOU that neither they nor the suspect knew him, and that they are relieved that their child is protected. Judge Wesley Doolittle posted a message on social media saying," Christmas is a time of happiness, but this guy chose to kill that joy by attacking a minor. " " I'm very proud of our representatives and detectives who worked hard to get this dangerous predator caught and put on our streets," said one of our officers.
