Regulo Caro, 2025, a year of achievements and satisfactions
The artist doesn't sit idly by and combines his careers as an artist with that of a businessman
Regulo Caro has never taken anything for granted. To this day, even though he is one of the most established corridos singers, he continues to fight to maintain his place in the music world.
“I have never stopped fighting and I have never sat idly by, never said, 'Ah, I've made it,'” he said. “I still have a long way to go.”
This despite 2025 being a favorable year for the artist, born in the United States but raised in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico. In addition to touring throughout the year, he continues to develop his entrepreneurial side; he has a clothing line and secured an Amazon delivery route.
“I feel happy to have achieved different things,” he said. “Being relevant in things I didn't think would have such an impact, but that helped my career, like the Amazon deal, which got people to take notice of me again.”
At first, when Regulo posted the videos of himself delivering packages in his truck, many thought his singing career was going so badly that he had to find work as a delivery driver for the package delivery company. Others thought it was a publicity stunt.
The truth is that Regulo decided to learn everything Amazon delivery drivers do so he could then train the employees of his new company.
Then, he released “Carpe Diem, (Full Experience),” an 18-track album celebrating his 15-year career. It's an album that blends his rock, pop, and urban music roots. Its title, a Latin phrase that can be translated as “seize the day,” largely expresses the artist's philosophy of life.
“That's literally what this year was about,” he said. “Trying to make the most of every single day of this year.”
The album has already garnered over fifteen million streams, and one of its most popular tracks is “El Inter,” which has surpassed two million streams on Spotify and YouTube.
The task hasn't been easy for the artist. Since it began, his career has gone through different stages and trends. He counts four; the first was the altered movement, Then came the progressive corridos, followed by the style popularized by artists like Ariel Camacho, and finally the corridos tumbados. Currently, a new trend is emerging: electrocorridos, in which these songs are fused with electronic elements. Regulo says he has never tried to force himself into any style; everything he has done in any style has been organic. “If you put your heart into a song, you reflect that and people connect with it,” he said. “But if you do it by force […] people notice that too, so I've tried to stay true to my essence, and obviously, yes, little by little I do new things, but they have to feel organic.” Regarding the tour, Regulo never stopped. The album came out in the summer, and while touring in Mexico and the United States, he was promoting some of the tracks. He is one of the few artists who prefers to release full albums rather than singles. Furthermore, he prefers to wait a couple of years between albums to get the most out of each new one. Around this time, he plans to travel to Sonora, where he intends to spend the holidays with his family. Afterward, he will return to his home in Southern California to continue managing his businesses and planning new concert dates, which will happen approximately in February. Meanwhile, what he's most looking forward to is getting to Sonora to eat his favorite dishes: tacos, tamales, birria barbacoa, and caguamanta (a traditional broth from that region). And of course, with a nice cold beer. Then he'll return to his home in Southern California to continue managing his businesses and planning new concert dates, which will happen around February.
