According to a Proposition 218 analysis plan, Los Angeles voters will decide whether to renovate more than 200 000 streetlights citywide.

Mayor of Los Angeles Karen Bass pleaded with the public to support the proposal, which would increase property owners ' rates by roughly 12 % to help pay for a$ 125 million program to replace more than 200, 000 streetlights.

The current system generates about$ 45 million, according to city officials, and it hasn't been updated since Proposition 218, which required approval for new local efforts or increases to existing people, was passed in the 1990s.
