José Kléberson, a member of the Brazil team that won the 2002 World Cup, is going through a delicate moment of health after undergoing various medical tests that detected a 50% obstruction in three arteries. The 47-year-old former soccer player confirmed that he will have to undergo new tests to understand his clinical situation more precisely.

The information was initially shared by his wife, Dayane Willians, who explained the former midfielder's condition through a publication on social networks accompanied by images taken during his stay in the hospital.

"He is fine. Now we have to redouble the care and change the lifestyle. I promise to take good care of our champion's heart," Willians wrote.

Hours later, Kléberson himself offered details about what happened and explained what led him to seek medical attention.

The former player said that on Sunday he began to experience intense chest pain, a situation that made him fear the possibility of having a heart attack and motivated him to immediately go to a hospital.

After admission, he was subjected to a series of studies that made it possible to detect partial obstruction in three arteries, a finding that will now force the medical evaluation to be expanded.

Although he acknowledged that the results will require specialized monitoring, the former Brazilian international assured that he maintains an optimistic attitude and trusts in a speedy recovery.

"Unfortunately, an alteration appeared and I will need to take a new battery of these tests, but thank God it is nothing serious and I am sure that it will not be anything serious. Soon we will be ready to live a normal life, with great health and peace," Kléberson expressed on his social networks.

The former midfielder was part of the Brazilian team that won the 2002 World Cup in Korea and Japan, a championship that represented the fifth and, to date, last world title obtained by the Canarinha.

His professional career began at Athletico Paranaense, a club where he stood out before making the leap to European football in 2003 with Manchester United in England.

He later continued his career at Besiktas in Türkiye, expanding his international experience before returning to his native country.

In 2008 he returned to Brazilian football to join Flamengo, one of the most popular clubs in the country.

The last years of his career were spent in the United States, where he remained until officially retiring from professional soccer in 2017.

Now, almost a decade after hanging up his boots, Kléberson faces a new challenge away from the pitch. While he waits to complete the pending medical studies, both he and his family conveyed a message of tranquility and assured that the immediate objective will be to reinforce personal care and adopt changes in his lifestyle to preserve his health.
