A plane crashed on Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, on Wednesday night while carrying out a recovery mission on one of the castle's most well-known climbing routes, killing five people.
At a height of more than 4, 000 meters, the plane was traveling on a stretch of road to leave patients when the accident occurred.
Local and Foreign Patients
Two foreign citizens who were undergoing medical evacuation included the dying. Authorities confirmed that a local physician, tour guide, and helicopter pilot even passed away.
According to Simon Maigwa, a captain of the Kilimanjaro Regional Police, the plane belonged to Kilimanjaro Aviation, a business specializing in providing medical evacuation services and flight services. The business has not yet released a statement in the wake of the affair.
