US authorities have confirmed the withdrawal of bombers from RAF Fairford airbase following a security incident that prompted an investigation into potential Iranian involvement.

US officials have confirmed that all bombers stationed at the Royal Air Force base in Fairford have been redeployed to their home base in the United States.

US-based B-1 bombers have completed their operations and returned to their home bases, with air tracking websites indicating that some of the aircraft departed from their base on Sunday.

US Bomber Fleet Personnel Remain Prepared for Global Operations. The personnel operating the US fleet of bombers, including the B-1, B-2 and B-52 models, remain poised to execute global precision strike capabilities at any time and from any location, including takeoff and landing operations on US mainland territory.

British authorities have confirmed the arrest of a British-Iranian citizen, who was detained on October 1, in connection with a suspected terrorist plot targeting the military air base at Fairford.

Five British nationals, aged between 22 and 25, residing in the London area, were apprehended near the base on September 27 on suspicion of terrorism-related activities. They were subsequently released on bail.

British Prime Minister indicated that there were substantial signs pointing to Iranian involvement in the alleged plot near a jointly used US military base.

The Royal Air Force base at Fairford has been utilized by U.S. bombers in recent months, following authorization from the UK government to permit the use of British military bases for defensive operations targeting Tehran during the Middle East conflict.
