USCIS activates Operation PARRIS to re-examine thousands of refugee cases in Minnesota
Thousands of refugees in Minnesota are under scrutiny by the federal government as Operation PARRIS is activated
Operation PARRIS ( Post-Admission Refugee Re-Examination and Integrity Strengthening ), an initiative led by the US Department of Homeland Security ( DHS) and US Citizenship and Immigration Services ( USCIS), was launched in Minnesota. It is aimed at re-examining thousands of cases of refugees who are awaiting a response to their applications for residency in the United States.
The federal government's strategy is to thoroughly examine any foreigners ' suspicious backgrounds in light of potential scams and other crimes that could be used as an excuse for a foreign national's decision to leave the country.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE ) would be in charge of reviewing the status of about 5,600 refugees who have not yet obtained green cards for legal permanent residency in Minnesota.
According to Executive Order 14161 and National Proclamation 10949, superior control standards are required for Operation PARRIS.
In light of this, national agencies are required to identify and utilize improvements to the immigration controls that ensure the country's protection from jihadists and threats to public health.
A DHS issued a warning in a statement that the goal of Operation PARRIS is to find international citizens who have profited from alleged fraud at the price of US citizens.
" Minnesota is the epicenter of the scams battle. The Trump presidency did not sit idly by while those who want to mislead the country use the immigration system will continue to do so. Generally speaking first, the rule of law and American citizens come first, he said.
In light of this, it is anticipated that Thousands of Refugees living in Minnesota will get interviewed in the upcoming days to evaluate the viability of their hospital statements and decide whether or not to refer them to ICE. Deportation deliberations will start right away if the federal agency discovers that a migrant has engaged in immigration fraud.
