A Spanish man was found guilty of killing a sheriff of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) in September 2023.
Kevin Salazar, 32, was found guilty by a jury of first-degree assassination of warden Ryan Clinkunbroomer on September 16, 2023 in front of the LASD police station in Palmdale.

According to prosecutors, Clinkunbroomer died in a shooting that was described as “emboscade type” when he was aboard his police vehicle at an intersection awaiting the change of traffic lights.
