Venezuelan actor Fernando Carrillo, who has become one of Nicolas Maduro's main defenders, experienced moments of high tension with Lili Estefan in an interview he gave to 'El Gordo and La "Flaca" to talk about the situation in Venezuela after the capture of the country's president. In the conversation, which also included Raul de Molina, the businessman lashed out at Lili after she turned her back on him and unfollowed him on social media because they didn't share the same political views, even though he considered her a friend. "I greet you both, who I've always loved very much, but I don't know if you're friends or ex-friends. I think Lili is. The truth is, I must be hurt by you. I must be hurt because Lili unfollowed me, and it wasn't just her doing it; she called for me to unfollow her," Fernando Carrillo began in the interview.

The actor's direct accusations did not go unnoticed by Lili, who took the opportunity to clarify what had really happened between them and the reasons why she chose to unfollow him.

“I only unfollowed you out of respect for the millions of Venezuelans who were having a very hard time, and you were on your phone everywhere saying, 'This is wonderful. Everything is perfect here.' Millions of Venezuelans have left Venezuela because of the dictatorship, Fernando, and you know it. As an actor, you have used your image to promote the government, so how could I not unfollow you? I still love you, but I can't follow you out of respect for the Venezuelan people,” she responded.

The Cuban presenter's comments came after Fernando Carrillo openly accused her of exercising a media dictatorship against him and of betraying the friendship that once existed between them.

“Media dictatorship the one that has been applied to Fernando Carrillo in the last 20 years, But we are building an industry, and you'll see me in new series, in new projects, because what they've done to me, including you, Lili, is horrible. It's a betrayal of the friendship I thought we had,"the visibly upset actor stated, making it clear that he no longer follows the Caribbean presenter either. In another part of the conversation, which lasted about 20 minutes, the telenovela heartthrob defended his stance regarding Nicolas Maduro, Venezuela, Chavismo, and Delcy Rodriguez, whom he described in a previous interview as the great love of his life. "If Maria Corina had won, she would be governing, not the most intelligent woman in the country," Fernando Carrillo said, alluding to Delcy Rodriguez. In the final stretch of the conversation, the actor from 'Rosalinda' called on Venezuelans in exile to return to Venezuela, since they no longer had the excuse that Nicolas Maduro was still in power, which unleashed A new clash with Lili.

“It's time to come back, Maduro is gone, you shouldn't have to make excuses anymore. Come back and work for Venezuela, like I do, like the vast majority of Venezuelans do. Come back,” the actor urged those who left the country during the times of Hugo Chavez and Nicolas Maduro.
