Steve Bannon, a former White House adviser during Donald Trump's first stage in the presidency, believes that the possibility of seeing the Republican Party being surpassed on the ballot in November is quite viable, which could cost him control of the Senate.

During his intervention on the “War Room” podcast, the former Virginia banker joined the voices of other conservatives such as Marjorie Taylor Greene, former congresswoman from Georgia; or Ron DeSantis, governor of Florida, warning about a change of position in his party to avoid a painful setback at the time of the midterm elections.

Trump and the Republican Party betrayed their voters and accepted the garbage that we threw out of the party,” indicated towards the end of March the woman whom the president of the nation accuses of being resentful for not having supported her to run for a position in the Senate.

However, three months earlier, DeSantis anticipated that the figure of Donald Trump could prove to be a counterweight to the candidates of his own party, without imagining that the New York magnate would later start a war against Iran, causing a severe blow to the pockets of Americans due to the increase in fuel prices.

“One of the frustrations with Congress is: what have they done since August?” he said during an interview with the Fox News television network.

The accusations of these emblematic Republicans seem to be the tip of an iceberg that threatens to wreck the dominant party in Congress.

And now Bannon joins them with the idea that an alleged apathy has taken hold of the conservatives to the point that they have given up preparing strongly and with well-segmented promotional campaigns to ensure the vote of a sector of citizens willing to cast a punishment vote for feeling relegated by the administration in power.

"We're going to lose the Senate in the fall. No grassroots leader, no grassroots, no hoplite, no one is excited about going door to door and mobilizing voters. A new day has come, and you have to understand it, or we're going to lose the Senate. There's no enthusiasm!" express.

Bannon has proven to be unconditional of Donald Trump and at the time his loyalty meant he was indicted by a federal grand jury on two counts of criminal contempt of Congress for failing to comply with a subpoena issued by the Select Committee on the Attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021, where it was intended to hold Donald Trump accountable. In fact, he spent four months in prison.
