Trainer Eddy Reynoso mentioned September as the ideal date for Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez to step back into the ring for a possible rematch with Terence Crawford.

In an interview with Azteca Deportes, Reynoso indicated that Canelo Alvarez wants to settle his score with Crawford and commented that the Mexican has already begun training after his elbow surgery.

“Not in May. In May we're going to rest and resume in September. That's what he wants, to have the rematch with Crawford. We'll see if it can be in September, and that's the goal, to get the rematch and settle the score,” he said.

“Right now Saul is resting. We had surgery on his left elbow, it went well, and he's already started training. He's been working physically, he's currently doing his promotional tours outside of boxing, but we're taking it easy. We'll see what's coming next year, and we're relaxed,” he added.
