Hunter Biden is accused of failure to pay child support
Hunter Biden now faces a new lawsuit, this time for failure to pay child support and for refusing to spend time with one of his daughters
Hunter Biden, son of former President Joe Biden, is embroiled in a new scandal after being accused of failing to pay child support for his daughter Navy Joan Roberts, from his relationship with Lunden Roberts.
While studying for a postgraduate degree in crime scene investigation at the University George Washington, the Arkansas woman met Hunter Biden, and after less than two years of dating, the daughter of a famous gun manufacturer became pregnant. However, the son of the former president refused to acknowledge the girl, who was born in 2018, leading to a lawsuit and a paternity test that confirmed he was indeed a father. Although the Delaware lawyer later agreed to pay child support, he failed to fulfill his obligations and refuses to have contact with her. Recently, Lunden Roberts' lawyers reopened a lawsuit against Hunter Biden. In addition to not providing a specified amount of child support, he also refuses to hand over some paintings he created, which Navy Joan's mother is demanding because they could potentially acquire value in the art market. According to Lunden Roberts' lawyers, Hunter Biden skillfully manipulated the situation. He managed to establish an emotional bond with his seven-year-old daughter through painting, as his true objective was that, by giving her some paintings selected by herself, the agreed-upon child support amount would be reduced. Allegedly, the controversial figure who was pardoned by his father last year to avoid going to prison, violated both agreements. “Ms. Roberts has contacted Mr. Biden on numerous occasions to ask her daughter to speak with him, but the defendant, with his classic lack of class, refuses to respond,” states part of the lawsuit filed, which demands his imprisonment “as a civil penalty.” “It is axiomatic that no one can force Mr. Biden to be a good father to (his daughter),But this court can ensure that he receives at least the same level of support as his younger half-brother,” the document adds.
