Survey reveals high levels of burnout among US workers
Between economic uncertainty and general burnout, many workers plan to use their paid time off (PTO) for vacations
According to a survey conducted by USA Today and Survey Monkey, more than 24 % of American workers feel burned out at their work, so they usually take trips.
Some people have reported problems as well as stress, and the general economic uncertainty has caused many workers to lose their jobs. Those who remain must take on more workloads, coupled with the application of Artificial Intelligence, have raised some concerns related to waves of layoffs. According to the survey report, 55 % of workers, or roughly 3,156 employees, intend to use their paid vacation time to fulfill their family obligations, while 50 % did so. Many of the respondents claimed that they are restricting discretionary spending in order to stay within the budget. But, they also stated that taking time off during their paid time is needed for their mental health. Additionally, according to the study results, at least 51 % of employees said they prefer to save money for trips they can take instead of cutting costs elsewhere. American employees receive an average of just 12 weeks of paid day off per year, according to a survey conducted by Expedia. Melanie Fish, Vice President of Global Public Relations at Expedia Group, advises you in this regard:" Don't generate your paid time off for one long journey. Instead, arrange some three or four-day retreats that coincide with school and work closures. Request your paid time off early in the year to secure the most coveted schedules and to really enjoy the time you've earned," she said.
