Hyundai found a pretty special way to change the experience aboard the Palisade. The brand took its three-range SUV and substantially raised the ceiling to create a configuration that looks more designed to travel as a passenger than to drive.

The result is the Hyundai Palisade High Roof 2027, a production model that was born as a prototype at the Seoul Mobility Show and finally arrived on the streets of South Korea.

The most obvious modification is at the top of the car. The ceiling grew by approximately 9.5 inches, reaching a total height close to 2.005 millimeters, equivalent to about 79 inches.
Despite this increase, Hyundai assures that itins dimensions compatible with underground parking. The outer proportions remain those of a large SUV, although the elevated section of the roof completely changes its presence.
The space gained is not primarily designed to give the driver more comfort. Hyundai has concentrated much of the transformation on the second row passengers, who receive an atmosphere much more similar to that of an executive limousine.
One of the most striking pieces is a 21.4-inch screen installed on the roof. The system is designed to provide entertainment to those travelling behind, while the retractable two-way LED reading lights and Starry Sky environmental lighting seek to give the cabin a more exclusive atmosphere.
With the VIP package, the Palisade High Roof can even become a kind of mobile office. And those who want to take the equipment even further away can opt for the VIP Package 2.
This package adds a central console specifically for the rear occupants, with two wireless charging bases for phones and drawers capable of keeping drinks hot or cold.
Luxury is not just in the finishes. Hyundai incorporated an air purification system and UV-C sterilization technology, designed to help reduce the presence of bacteria, viruses and fungi inside the cabin.
Exclusive premium carpets for VIP passengers also appear, a detail that reinforces the intention to turn this area of the vehicle into the main space of the experience.
The Palisade High Roof is standardly equipped with the electronically controlled Preview suspension, capable of anticipating road conditions and adjusting its operation.
To accompany the set, Hyundai uses 21-inch alloy wheels with Pirelli tires.The combination seeks to maintain a refined driving and an appearance consistent with the model’s luxury approach.
For now, the Palisade High Roof 2027 is reserved for South Korea, so there is no confirmation that this configuration will be sold in the United States.
Its presentation is interesting for the U.S. market because it shows how far Hyundai can take the idea of a large three-range SUV. However, having switched from prototype to Korean-produced vehicle doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to cross borders.
