According to the prosecution, a person who is accused of murdering a second passenger on a Chicago train reportedly had the incident and its aftermath recorded the incident on his cell phone.

Demetrius Thurman, a 40-year-old man is accused of first-degree crime in the death of Dominique Pollion, a 37-year-old woman. According to reports cited by FOX 32 Chicago, the crime took place early on Saturday night on a Blue Line station. The sufferer was drowsy and unaware of his attacker. According to court documents, Pollion had been sleeping in the coach vehicle for nearly an hour and had never previously acted with Thurman. The two people claimed that the two gentlemen did not know one another. allegedly at around 2o'clock in the morning, Thurman allegedly came out of hiding, began recording with his cellphone, and stabbed the victim twice, once in the stomach and once in the stomach near the center with a bright orange knife. Thurman allegedly recorded himself after the stabbing and reportedly refocused the camera on his face as the train arrived at the Clark/Lake place, saying," People beat him up.

Authorities were able to identify the suspect after using Illinois facial recognition software to analyze the images. He had a previous meeting with another Blue Line coach, which a Chicago police agent likewise recognized.

Thurman was detained on Sunday. He was also seen in the video wearing the same outfits and carrying a cellphone with photos of the attack and other sleeping travellers. The accused claimed that a niece of the accused had identified him and that Thurman had admitted to stabbing. The incident comes amid growing concerns about safety on Chicago's transport program, which has attracted national attention in recent months as a result of some aggressive incidents.
