Marjorie Taylor Greene resigns from Congress to avoid being mistreated by Donald Trump
Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene fears facing President Donald Trump's anger directed at her and chooses to resign from Congress
Georgia agent Marjorie Taylor Greene announced that she would step down from the Congressional seat in January out of concern that President Donald Trump will put her under excruciating pressure, which may ultimately damage the Republican Party itself.
The controversial 51-year-old stated in a lengthy statement that she anticipates a more hostile environment for herself and that, out of respect, it would be better to step away from her career.
She stated," I have too much self-respect and respect, I love my family very much, and I don't want the president to have to go through a painful and cruel major against me to win the election while the Republicans will likely lose the midterms," adding that she has done so.
She resisted defending the senator against a potential impeachment trial, which she felt was inconsistent with how he had attacked her in public, and she made another argument for leaving Congress.
After he allegedly tried to destroy me and spent tens of millions of dollars against me, I am now expected to stand up for the leader against prosecution. I don't want to be a "battled girl" and wait for things to improve, she said.
Taylor Greene even recalled how she chose to support Trump over her home when her family was in a very difficult position, and how the man in charge of the White House, who has since become the only one to make disparaging remarks, was appreciative of her decision.
" I will never forget the time my mother and father had cancerous tumors removed for mind surgery, so I had to travel to Washington, D. C. to support President Trump and voting NO on the Democratic's second impeachment trial in 2021," said one voter.
It was too much, my poor parents and impoverished family. She said commitment may be a two-way street.
It is anticipated that January 5 may be Marjorie Taylor Greene's last day serving as delegate for Georgia's 14th Congressional District given the sudden stance she adopted.
