Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Saturday that Washington proposed organizing a trilateral meeting and quoted Rustem Umerov, one of the Kyiv negotiators who traveled to Miami on Friday. Today he called for broader consultations with European partners. “We are moving at a fairly rapid pace, and our team in Florida has been working with the US side,” Zelensky said on Telegram, without mentioning any possible meeting with Russia.

Round of meetings in Florida

Florida hosted another round of negotiations this weekend, with the presence of Steve Witkoff, US President Donald Trump’s special envoy, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, and Ukrainian and European envoys on one side, and Russian envoys on the other. Kirill Dmitriev, Moscow's envoy, arrived in Miami on Saturday and stated that "discussions are proceeding constructively" with Witkoff and Kushner, according to Russian news agencies.
