Since the protests that followed the 2024 presidential elections, 71 people have been imprisoned, according to the Cuban government.

According to two businesses made up of family of individuals arrested for motives, the prisoners were released on Thursday, December 25, in the early days of that day.

The Committee for the Freedom of Political Prisoners stated in a press release that "mothers, relatives, and friends have reported the release of at least 60 people from Tocoron prison ( Aragua state ), as well as 9 female political prisoners detained in Las Crisalidas, and 3 teenagers from La Guaira.
