Matthew Stafford, Myles Garrett, and Puka Nacua lead the 2025 NFL All-Pro team selected by the Associated Press, in a vote that produced several standout stories and confirmed the strength of established figures alongside young names already making their mark in the league. The Los Angeles Rams quarterback earned his first career first-team All-Pro honor, surpassing Drake Maye in the voting and becoming one of the main attractions of the announcement. Stafford, 37, received 31 first-team votes to May's 18, while Josh Allen received the remaining vote. The quarterback had an outstanding season, leading the NFL with 4,707 passing yards and 46 touchdowns. He also posted a passer rating of 109.2, the second-best in the league, behind only Maye's 113.5. "This is incredible," Stafford said upon hearing the news. "I didn't expect it. I've played for many years. I have a lot of respect for this sport. A lot of respect for the other players who do the same thing I do. It's not easy to do. It means a lot."

Offensive Stars and an Elite Defense

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Stafford is only the second player in history to be named a first-team All-Pro for the first time in his 17th season or later, a list that also includes kicker Gary Anderson. On offense, Bijan Robinson was chosen at running back, while Christian McCaffrey filled the role of utility player. The receiving corps featured Puka Nacua, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Ja'Marr Chase, with Trey McBride at tight end after receiving 49 of 50 first-team votes.

The defense was led by Myles Garrett, who broke the single-season sack record with 23 and earned his fifth All-Pro selection.

Alongside him appeared Will Anderson Jr. and Micah Parsons as pass rushers. Parsons, who is recovering from ACL surgery, appreciated the recognition: "This is great. I really needed it. I hope I can get back to that same level this offseason." The Denver Broncos had the most players on the first team, with four, while others like Philadelphia, Houston and Detroit also contributed several key players. In total, 18 rookies made one of the teams, including five on special teams, a sign of the generational shift underway in the NFL. The selection process was conducted using the AP voting system,in which voters choose a first and second team. The votes were tallied by Lutz and Carr, concluding an announcement that once again puts the spotlight on individual performance in a season brimming with talent. [Final list of players and teams]
