New Hampshire therapist accused of sexually assaulting patient during session

Daniel Thibeault, 51, of Laconia is facing a charge of aggravated criminal sexual rape.
The alleged victim claimed something happened in Thibeault's company in August, according to court records.
Thibeault worked as an independent specialist for a nonprofit mental health organization and is a pre-licensed therapist, which means he is in the process of obtaining his whole registration.
The alleged victim claimed to have first contacted Thibeault when she and her husband started couples counseling in July. She claimed that they only went to a few lessons up before moving out and beginning individual lessons.
Her father called police to report an alleged sexual abuse on August 20. The girl claimed Thibeault rubbed essential oils on her body before requiring her to use stress-monitoring equipment.
According to judge records, Thibeault then began licking her neck, legs, and arms before moving her to a sofa.
She claimed to the police that she had repeatedly asked him to quit. She claimed that Thibeault informed her that he was trying to make her think wonderful once more and that he was drawn to her. She claimed to have been scared when she first saw him because of her marital status and mistreatment story. Authorities said DNA was discovered on the woman's body after her doctor visit. After a federal investigation revealed that Thibeault had cheated up more than$ 15 million from a Massachusetts investment fund he managed, he was sentenced to nine years in prison in 2016 according to News 9's report. Thibeault is being held without bail until the end of the month in jury. Police are contacting any additional ability victims, anyone with information on the case, or anyone else who might be involved in similar incidents.
