Specialists in the federal government announced the arrest of four reported people of an extremist group that was reportedly planning Southern California's New Year's Eve bomb attacks on Monday.

The defendants were detained last week in Lucerne Valley, a desert area south of Los Angeles, where they were suspected of preparing to examine improvised explosive devices for the anticipated problems, according to a legal issue.
