The deaths of 24 Venezuelan security agents during the arrest of Nicolas Maduro are reported
Tarek William Saab, Attorney General of Venezuela, announced that dozens of people died as a result of the operation to arrest Nicolas Maduro
Tarek William Saab, Attorney General of Venezuela, reported that dozens of people lost their lives during the US military operation to arrest former President Nicolas Maduro.
“Their spilled blood does not cry out for vengeance, but for justice and strength. “It reaffirms our unwavering oath to not rest until we rescue our legitimate president, completely dismantle the terrorist groups operating from abroad, and ensure that events like these never again defile our sovereign territory,” the South American official wrote in an Instagram post. Through a video, Venezuelan authorities paid tribute to 24 Venezuelan security agents allegedly killed by the U.S. armed forces. Focusing on black and white images of dead people and soldiers, as well as images of U.S. planes flying over the Venezuelan capital and destroyed armored vehicles, the video aims to denounce the attack perpetrated to detain Maduro. For his part, Vladimir Padrino Lopez, Minister of Defense, delivered a nationally televised address, where he denounced what he considers the kidnapping of Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. However, the peculiar aspect of the message is that it describes how members of the U.S. military... They allegedly murdered in cold blood a large part of the security team of the former Venezuelan president. In this regard, the New York Times reported that at least 40 people died during the US operation, several of them as a result of a bombing carried out on Venezuelan military and government installations. This information adds to another accusation made by the Cuban government, which was issued on Sunday, announcing that, allegedly, 32 Cuban military and police personnel assigned to work in Venezuela also died as a result of the operation implemented by the US armed forces. Meanwhile,President Donald Trump not only praised the operation carried out in Venezuela, but also anticipated increased arms production to strengthen the power of the U.S. military. “152 aircraft participated in the operation in Venezuela. It was impressive. Nobody has weapons of the quality of ours; the problem is that we don't produce them fast enough. We're going to start producing much faster,” he emphasized.
