A human bones and other remains were discovered this week in Brooklyn, New York's Coney Island, according to local authorities.

According to ABC 7's report, the first discovery was made just before 6 p. m. on Tuesday, when officials discovered a bone close to the Riegelmann Boardwalk, between West. 32nd and West. 33rd Streets.

New remains were discovered while the research was being conducted.

Products from the New York Police Department expanded the research in the area after the first discovery, and on Wednesday evening more human remains were discovered.

Officers removed the vegetation's arms, legs, and another legs, which they claimed had been exposed to the elements for a while.

But, there are still a few lost body parts.

No official information about the event have been made so far, but the medical examiner is trying to identify the deceased and determine the cause of death.

Neighborhoods alarmed by the finding

Residents and visitors of the famous holiday destination are concerned about the breakthrough. The scene was described as" creepy" and "disturbing," according to a neighbor who spoke with Fox News Digital. It's ridiculous, and I hope it doesn't happen again, a second resident said.

Authorities continue to look at the place and gather information.

No plausible theories have been developed at this time regarding what transpired, and authorities are conducting extensive investigation.
