According to the Ventura County District Attorney, a Greenwood man was found guilty of first-degree crime after admitting to stabbing his ex-wife to death and desecrating her bones.

When Zarbab Ali, a 25-year-old social worker, picked up her two young children in her Simi Valley house in November of that year, he returned with a knife and the intention of killing them, according to the prosecution. After just three hours of deliberation, the judge found Ali guilty of first-degree death, stalking death, and first-degree murder, which carries a life sentence without the possibility of parole. His punishment is set for January 12th. Soon after Simi Valley officers discovered Castillo's body in a rural area of... Ali, now 28, told authorities that he had been considering killing her since their nine-month parting. Castillo was attempting to divorce Ali at the time of her death. In a documented confession, Ali told investigators that she left the stem opened and approached Castillo's door after returning from dropping off her two children, ages 2 and 5, and that she found the door unlocked. She said in the saving," Everyone in my brain was telling me not to do it. " Ali stayed in and turned off the apartment's lighting, though. Afterwards, she admitted to waiting for Castillo to leave her home in the dark. According to the Ventura County Star, Ali told the police that" everything in my life had change. " I in some ways held her responsible for all of my issues. Authorities believe that their balances of the crime have changed. In one of Ali's first recorded statements, he claimed to have murdered Castillo three times, which "lasted one minute. " He allegedly admitted to lying about the swift death in court this month in order to lessen the impact on his family. She apparently resisted, according to Ali's rumor. I was a beast, I said. It was very terrible when I shoved her to the ground. According to the trial, Ali drove toward Antelope Valley in a stress while Castillo's body was wrapped in blankets in his trunk. The devastation did not stop there, though he buried her in a deep grave. Ali admitted that he went back to Castillo's grave in the desert at 2 a. m. the following day to excavate and murder her body. He told the authorities," Really to ensure that I'm a demon, I raped her. " " I may have died without any reason if I hadn't committed myself to being a dragon. " When Castillo's girl, who shared an apartment with her, called the authorities when she returned home, discovered body and learned about Castillo's removal. Ali was taken into custody weeks later.

He called himself a dragon on the television, and that's precisely what he is, according to Rachel's father, Chris Castillo.

At a press conference in 2022, District Attorney Erik Nasarenko stated that Rachel Castillo was a native of Simi Valley and worked for a nearby philanthropic institution that assisted domestic violence victims.

She had a dream job as a relationship and family doctor while pursuing a master's degree in clinical psychology.
