Trump says he ordered a military response

“There are 1,000 missiles armed and prepared and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, immediately followed by thousands more, in case the Iranian government carries out its threat,” the president wrote on his social network, Truth Social, in a message published on Friday night.

Trump assured that he has given orders to the Army to “totally decimate and destroy all areas of Iran” in case the authorities of the Persian country assassinate him or try to assassinate him, and said that the order has a validity period of one year, “subject to extensions.”

The Republican signed his message by writing "Praise Allah! President Donald J. Trump."

Trump had already assured, in an interview with the American media The New York Post, that he gave instructions to the Pentagon to bomb Iran at “levels never seen before” in case it is assassinated as a result of a plot by the Islamic Republic.

However, in the same interview, the president implied that there is no recent plot, although he maintained that Tehran has considered him a target for years, despite press reports according to which Israel could have warned the United States that Iran would be developing a new plan to assassinate him.
