According to the New York Police Department ( NYPD), two men were detained on Tuesday morning for their alleged involvement in the alleged murder of Pawtucket, Rhode Island's Daevon Silva, who was 23 years old, on November 24 near Times Square.

Paul Ohore, a 32-year-old Torres resident, and Alagie Jatta, a 29-year-old resident of the Bronx, were the two inmates who were detained. Officials claimed they were apprehended at around 6:50 am on warrants and faced death charges. Early in the morning, the attack took place. One of Manhattan's busiest neighborhoods, West 49th Street and Seventh Avenue, was the scene of Silva's attack soon after 1o'clock in the morning, according to the police analysis. The sufferer was then stabbed in the back and correct knee after being beaten with a baseball bat. She was taken to Bellevue Hospital where she was later declared deceased following the attack. Although the actual cause is still being investigated, police sources suggested that the affair may be related to a past discord between the sufferer and at least one of the assailants. Qualifications of the suspects: Alagie Jatta has five prior arrests, including one for weapons possession, according to the NYPD. Additionally, he was detained in the Bronx in February 2022 for an alleged knife strike on a 55-year-old person. For his part, Paul Ohore was past detained in 2019 for driving while holding a suspended license plate, and he had two additional prior arrests for allegedly possessing arms, according to authorities. In New York, the sufferer had no legal history. According to sources close to the research, Silva had small records in Rhode Island but no criminal history, despite being no longer a suspect in New York City. Concerns have been raised by the situation regarding the crime in Manhattan's busy districts. While the defendants are awaiting their court appearance, the suspects are still in prison.
