The licensed governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya, reappeared publicly after more than two months away from public life to ensure that he remains at his home in Culiacán, and deny the versions that placed him under the protection of federal forces.

Through a message posted on his

“From May 1 until today, I have remained, without moving, at my home in the city of Culiacán,” he wrote.

Rocha Moya also rejected the versions that indicated that he has protection from the federal government.

"I am not protected or protected by elements of any federal corporation. It is absolutely false," he said when responding to journalistic publications about his whereabouts.

The president explained that he decided to temporarily separate from office to allow the investigations against him to take place without the protection of constitutional jurisdiction.

He stated that he appeared before the Attorney General's Office (FGR) and reiterated his willingness to collaborate with the authorities.

Likewise, he assured that he is the subject of a campaign of “slander” and unsubstantiated accusations, which he attributed to political interests that, he said, seek to discredit both his person and the Fourth Transformation movement.

The reappearance occurs amid the controversy generated by the accusations made by United States authorities against him, and by various versions that suggested that Rocha Moya remained in the custody of federal forces or outside Sinaloa.
